A number of Chinese electric vehicle (EV) brands have announced ambitious sales targets for 2025, with some eyeing over 100-percent year-on-year growth, the Global Times learned on Wednesday.
Speaking at the Guangdong Provincial High-quality Development Conference on Wednesday, He Xiaopeng, chairman and CEO of XPeng, said that XPeng is confident of doubling its deliveries on a year-on-year basis in 2025, according to a statement sent to the Global Times.
In January, XPeng deliveries reached 30,350 units, giving the company leading status among China's EV brands, He said.
He also revealed that XPENG AEROHT's flying car, dubbed as the "Land Aircraft Carrier," has received 4,000 orders since the model's maiden flight in November. XPENG AEROHT is an affiliate of XPeng. XPeng also rolled out five-year car loans with zero interest and zero down payments on Wednesday.
Voyah, the luxury EV brand of Dongfeng Motor Corp, has set a 133 percent year-on-year growth target for the year, eyeing the delivery of 200,000 units, according to Hubei Daily on Monday.
Avatr Technology, an EV brand based in Southwest China's Chongqing Municipality, has targeted a 199-percent increase for the year, according to the report.
The luxury version of Xiaomi's flagship EV, the SU7 Ultra, will be launched at the end of February, with a sales target of 10,000 units for this year, founder Lei Jun said on his Red Note account on Wednesday, according to Reuters.
