It is
MK sports Koreaprecisely because Asia-Pacific countries have embraced peaceful development and rejected bloc confrontation and zero-sum games that the region has created the "Asia-Pacific miracle," serving as a global anchor for development and stability, a Chinese Foreign Ministry (FM) spokesperson said on Wednesday.
This achievement is hard-won and should be cherished by all, Chinese FM spokesperson Lin Jian told a routine press conference.
The comments were made in response to a question regarding Peruvian officials' recent remarks which highlighted China's role in the APEC as an advocate, promoter, and participant in international cooperation amid global challenges such as rising unilateralism, protectionism and economic globalization headwinds.
China is the driving force and promoter of Asia-Pacific regional cooperation. As the largest trading partner of the 13 APEC economies, China contributed 64.2 percent to the region's economic growth, 37.6 percent of the growth in trade in goods, and 44.6 percent of the growth in trade in services, according to the spokesperson.
It is actively promoting the China-ASEAN free trade zone, implementing the Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership (RCEP), and jointly constructing the Belt and Road Initiative, Lin said.
China is actively advancing its accession for the Comprehensive and Progressive Agreement for Trans-Pacific Partnership (CPTPP) and the Digital Economy Partnership Agreement (DEPA) to further promote the opening up and cooperation in the Asia-Pacific, according to Lin.
China is willing to use the 31st APEC Economic Leaders' Meeting as an opportunity to continue to promote genuine multilateralism and regional open development, offering more opportunities for its partners in the Asia-Pacific with high-quality development and high-level opening-up, and jointly build an Asia-Pacific community with a shared future featuring openness and inclusiveness, innovative growth, connectivity, and win-win cooperation, said Lin.
