The Austrian Cultural Forum Beijing and the Embassy of Austria in China inaugurated an evocative art exhibition titled Vienna Callingin Beijing on December 1. Featuring the captivating Austrian artist Rudolf Fitz, the exhibition offered visitors an opportunity to explore the architectural beauty of Vienna, the capital of Austria.

At the inauguration ceremony, Gudrun Hardiman-Pollross, director of the Austrian Cultural Forum, described the exhibition as interesting to attendees.

"For me, this is just like a childhood memory. If you have ever been to Vienna, the 'Würstelstand' [Vienna sausage stand] is the most famous thing you'd find in Austria. It was an intangible cultural heritage declared in Austria last week," she explained.

Attendees will be able to immerse themselves in the diverse landscapes of Vienna, from the grandeur of historical palaces to the charm of hidden alleyways. Each piece tells a story, revealing the artist's deep connection to his hometown and his passion for its architectural heritage.

Born in 1989, Fitz lives and works in Vienna. He told the Global Times that through his paintings, he would like to reflect the rich history of the city, but also showcase its modern spirit, perfectly blending tradition and modernity.
