People celebrated National Batik Day at Taman Mini Indonesia Indah, a culture-based recreational area, in Jakarta, Indonesia, and learned more about the Batik dyeing technique.

The National Batik Day, celebrated annually on Oct. 2, commemorates the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) recognition of batik as an Indonesian traditional culture. This year's National Batik Day was observed here with the theme of "Sustainable Cultural Batik."
