Following the rise of Chinese AI model DeepSeek, business owners in Yiwu, dubbed the "world's supermarket," have already started using DeepSeek software to pursue cross-border trade.
Yiwu merchants are now leveraging DeepSeek-generated copywriting and visual content to complete foreign language video production in less than 10 minutes.
The official mini-program of Yiwu small commodities market has incorporated DeepSeek's largest language AI model, which has been massively welcomed by merchants.
Users simply record a video of their lip movements, and DeepSeek will automatically generate foreign language videos, ensuring that forgetting lines is no longer a concern, according to The Paper. Combined with DeepSeek's AI-generated copywriting, the AI mini-program can produce corresponding foreign language videos based on the given text content. The entire process from filming to generation takes less than 10 minutes.
Fu Jiangyan, a local merchant in Yiwu, now frequently uses the latest AI solution. Fu described the tool as user-friendly. She said with this program, all she has to do is lip-sync.
"Our top-performing video got 54,000 views on Facebook," Fu was astonished by the results. She successfully sold out many socks with a short English-language video lasting just a few seconds.
"In the past, we relied on in-store sales and waited for customers to visit. Now with the help of AI, we are able to 'master' multiple languages, so AI has significantly broadened our sales channels," Fu said.
