The
MK sport Chinese Football Association (CFA) officially launched a self-recommendation system for aspiring football players on Saturday. This initiative is an important step by the CFA to reform the football talent selection process, and effectively prevent and combat corruption in football talent scouting, media reported.
Players holding Chinese ID cards can register, providing basic info, personal assessments, test details, skill demonstrations, and other materials as required. The CFA's relevant departments will organize expert teams to conduct preliminary screening based on the criteria. Outstanding players will later join training camps, or participate in CFA-organized competitions.
The CFA's disciplinary inspection and supervision department will conduct comprehensive oversight over the self-recommendation and selection process and invite independent supervisors to oversee key selection stages.
The self-recommendation system is a significant initiative by the CFA to modernize football talent selecting, media reported. It aims to streamline football talent recruitment, broaden recruitment channels and identify talent beyond traditional selection norms, the Beijing News reported.
This system also helps prevent and combat corruption in football talent selection that directly impacts the public, ensuring a fairer process to better support the development of football talent in China, according to the Beijing News report.
