The Embassy of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia celebrated the 55th anniversary of Ethiopia-China diplomatic relations in Beijing on March 13. China's Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs Chen Xiaodong participated in the event.

Ethiopian Ambassador to China, Tefera Derbew Yimam emphasized the achievements of the two countries over the last five decades. "Ethiopia and China have nurtured a relationship built on mutual trust, respect, and cooperation. Our two nations have stood by each other in times of need and worked together to achieve shared prosperity," he stated.

Chen addressed the gathering, underscoring the significance of Ethiopia-China diplomatic relations. He highlighted that Ethiopia is one of China's most valued partners in Africa, and that cooperation has grown into an all-weather strategic partnership. Noting the increasing volume of bilateral trade and investment, he also reaffirmed China's commitment to supporting Ethiopia in its economic and social development.
