In response to a media inquiry regarding a risk alert issued by China's Ministry of Culture and Tourism for Chinese tourists traveling to the US,mk Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Lin Jian stated on Thursday that the situation stems from the US side's persistent and extreme pressure tactics against China, characterized by hegemonic and bullying behavior. This has severely undermined the social foundation and public opinion environment underpinning China-US relations, and seriously disrupted bilateral exchanges and cooperation in various fields. 

China will continue to resolutely safeguard its legitimate rights and interests and will take strong and firm measures as necessary, Lin said. 

China's Ministry of Culture and Tourism on Wednesday issued a risk alert for Chinese tourists traveling to the US on its official website, citing the recent deterioration in China-US economic and trade relations as well as the domestic security situation in the US. 

The ministry urged Chinese travelers to carefully assess the risks and exercise caution when planning trips to the US.
