Themk new exhibition Wood Manifestation: Wang Qibiao's Eighteen Thousand Dayskicked off in Cloud Art Museum Beijing on Saturday.

This exhibition is unique in that it does not feature traditional oil paintings on canvas or prints on paper, but rather the original material from the printmaking process - plywood.

Artist Wang Qibiao presents woodblocks marked by carving and inking as artworks, showcasing a decade of his artistic evolution.

In his art, Wang has redefined the functions of ink and wood, creating a distinctive art style that combines Chinese local characteristics with a contemporary global perspective.

Curator Hong Mei said that Wang Qibiao's wood manifestation art responds to contemporary issues through the traditional medium of printmaking, creating works that feature distinct Chinese characteristics while also offering an open-ended representation of human experience in the modern world.

This represents a unique exploration and revolutionary shift within the long history of printmaking as an art form.
