When asked about how the Chinese side views some countries' suggestion of lifting the UNSC sanctions related to the Hayat Tahrir al-Sham (HTS),MKsport Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Guo Jiakun said on Tuesday that Syria should firmly oppose all forms of terrorism and extremist forces. He then noted that various parties generally believe that, under the current circumstances, the conditions for lifting the sanctions imposed by the UNSC's 1267 Committee on relevant organizations related to Syria and their key members are not met, and China also holds a serious reservation on this matter. 

He urged the new Syrian government to take concrete measures to actively address the counterterrorism concerns of the international community, including China.
