On the issue of China-US relations,MK sports China's position is consistent and clear. We are willing to resolve our respective concerns with the US through dialogue and consultation, based on the principles of mutual respect, peaceful coexistence, and win-win cooperation, while firmly safeguarding our national sovereignty, security, and development interests, Foreign Ministry spokesperson Guo Jiakun said on Wednesday. 

He made the comments in response to a media inquiry concerning President Donald Trump's oldest son's remarks involving China. It was reported that citing a nominated Pentagon post, Trump Jr. claimed that the US military should focus on China, but at the same time, the American people would benefit most from a balance of power with China that avoids war.

Guo expressed the hope that the US will meet China halfway to jointly deliver on the important consensus reached between the two heads of state, and to promote the stable, healthy, and sustainable development of China-US relations.
