Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang's trip to China is MK sports Koreaattracting widespread attention. Last week, Huang attended the annual meeting of Nvidia's Shenzhen branch, South China's Guangdong Province, Chinese news site thepaper.cn reported on Thursday.

Huang attended the company's Chinese New Year celebration in Beijing on Sunday, reported Chinese financial media yicai.com.

The timing of Huang's trip is considered quite worth pondering over. On January 13, the US government said it would issue a new regulation, which would cap artificial intelligence (AI) chips and technology exports to most countries, completely block these exports to China and three other countries, and allow nearly unlimited access for Washington's closest allies.

While the US has implemented stringent measures to suppress the development of Chinese tech companies, bringing unprecedented complexity and challenges to technological cooperation between the two sides, Huang's visit to China at this time demonstrates clearly that the Chinese market remains crucial for Nvidia and the global tech industry.

China's vast market demand, well-established industrial chain support and rich application scenarios have led many American tech companies to still aspire to secure a foothold in the Chinese market, even in the current context, as this directly relates to their revenue and future development.

China is not only one of the largest semiconductor markets in the world but also a key region with increasing demand for high-performance computing chips.

For instance, despite Washington's export restrictions on advanced AI chips, Nvidia's sales in China still grew in the first three quarters of fiscal 2025.

The company recorded $11.57 billion in revenue from China in the first nine months of fiscal 2025, after the company booked $10.31 billion from China in fiscal 2024, according to Dow Jones Newswires.

With the rapid development of emerging technologies such as cloud computing, AI and big data, the Chinese market will see explosive growth in demand for high-performance and high-efficiency chips, providing ample development space for industry giants.

Moreover, the Chinese market has also played an important role in driving technological innovation among various multinational technology companies. As one of the largest internet and application markets globally, China is home to numerous leading technology companies and research institutions. These companies and institutions are engaged in research and application in fields such as AI, cloud computing and big data, offering rich application scenarios and collaboration opportunities for global tech companies.

Furthermore, the importance of the Chinese market extends beyond the economic advantages it offers individual companies; it also plays a crucial role in ensuring the stability and development of the global technology supply chain. Any attempts to exclude China from global technological industrial cooperation will have a negative impact on global technological development, potentially impeding the progress of innovation and increasing development costs globally.

The US strategy of strengthening high-tech controls against China under various excuses is unlikely to change much the foreseeable future. However, the damage caused by the US strategy to its own allies is becoming increasingly severe, especially as China continues to make technological advancements.

This damage will exacerbate divide between US high-tech companies and the government, as well as between the US and its allies and other countries. With each step China takes forward in technology development, it will pose new challenges to Washington's high-tech containment strategy.

From China's perspective, the significance of its market in international tech cooperation has always been rooted in the ongoing enhancement of its own capabilities. The key to solidifying this foundation lies in the steadfast promotion of technological advancement in high-end sectors.

By combining independent innovation with open collaboration, China aims to continuously elevate its position and influence in the global technological industrial chain. This path of self-improvement is essential not only for achieving technological self-reliance and strength but also for advancing China-US technological cooperation and global technological collaboration.
