Deputy Consul General Andalusia Tribuana Tungga Dewi of the Consulate General of Indonesia in Guangzhou and her delegation visited Yao Xinmin,mk vice president of the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT) Guangdong on January 7. The two sides held discussions on further strengthening industrial and commercial exchanges between South China's Guangdong Province and Indonesia, and deepening economic and trade cooperation.

Yao said that Guangdong and Indonesia have a sound foundation for economic cooperation and trade and high industrial complementarity. In recent years, more and more Guangdong-based companies have expressed strong interest in exploring markets in Indonesia and other Southeast Asian countries. CCPIT Guangdong will promote new energy, manufacturing, and electricity in Guangdong and Indonesia by strengthening communication and exchanges with the Indonesian Consulate General in Guangzhou and the Indonesian business community. 

Dewi stated that the Indonesian government has always attached great importance to maintaining bilateral economic cooperation and trade with China. As the largest economic province in China, Guangdong Province is one of the key provinces and regions for Indonesia to develop economic and trade cooperation with China.

It is expected that its cooperation with the CCPIT Guangdong will be strengthened in the future, she said.
