In response to a question about how turmoil in South Korea might impact China-South Korea relations,MK sports Korea Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Mao Ning said "the issues you mentioned are internal affairs of South Korea and I do not comment on them."

China's stance on China-South Korea relations remains consistent, Mao said at the routine press briefing on Monday.

South Korean President Yoon Suk-yeol was placed under a travel ban by the justice ministry on Monday pending an investigation into treason and other charges related to his short-lived imposition of martial law last week, Yonhap News Agency reported.
