【MK sports】Two men detained for stealing 100 pounds of gold ash from a temple

Two men were apprehended by police at a rental apartment stealing more than 100 pounds (45.3 kilograms) of gold ash from a temple's incense furnace in East China's Fujian Province,MK sports according to The Paper on Wednesday.

The manager of the temple notified local police about the theft of gold ash from the temple's incense furnace. After reviewing surveillance footage near the crime scene, authorities identified that during the early hours of the incident, two men had scouted the temple. They began the theft after ensuring the area was deserted.

One suspect, wearing a helmet and mask for heavy disguise, arrived at the temple with a sack on his motorcycle. The second suspect, equipped with a fishing net and a sack, carried out the theft. 

After stealing the ash, the two suspects quickly fled the scene. Further surveillance revealed that they had stolen gold ash from other furnaces at temples in the area, placing their loot in three sacks before fleeing to Shuitou, Nan'an in East China's Fujian Province on a motorcycle.

Tracking the suspects' movements, local police apprehended the suspects Li and Yang, at a rental apartment in Shuitou. The suspects admitted that they had no source of income and had conceived the plan to steal gold ash. They confessed to stealing more than 100 pounds of gold ash, which they sold for approximately 3,000 yuan ($410).
