China will promote integrated and clustered development of strategic emerging industries, as the country strives to develop new quality productive forces and accelerate the development of a modernized industrial system. 

According to the Government Work Report submitted Wednesday to the national legislature for deliberation, China will carry out demonstration initiatives on the large-scale application of new technologies, products and scenarios, and promote safe and sound development of commercial space, the low-altitude economy and other emerging industries.

The country will establish a mechanism to increase funding for industries of the future and foster industries such as biomanufacturing, quantum technology, embodied AI, and 6G technology, it said.

Under the AI Plus initiative, the country will work to effectively combine digital technologies with China's manufacturing and market strengths, according to the Government Work Report. 

The country will support the extensive application of large-scale AI models and vigorously develop new-generation intelligent terminals and smart manufacturing equipment, including intelligent connected new-energy vehicles, AI-enabled phones and computers, and intelligent robots.

In addition, the country will promote broader application of 5G technology, accelerate the innovation-driven development of the Industrial Internet, optimize the layout of computing resources across the country, and foster internationally competitive digital industry clusters.
