Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Guo Jiakun said on Thursday that "trade wars and tariff wars produce no winners" and harm the interests of people in all countries,MK sports Korea when asked by the media about US President Donald Trump's reported remarks that the US might reach a new trade agreement with China, and whether there is any progress for China and the US on trade and tariff issues.  

China firmly opposes the US' unilateral imposition of additional tariffs. Both sides should resolve their respective concerns through dialogue and consultation based on equality and mutual respect, and China will continue to take necessary measures to resolutely safeguard its legitimate rights and interests, Guo stated.
