Responding to question regarding Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister of New Zealand Winston Peters' meeting with Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi on Wednesday,
MK socks during which Peters raised concerns over China's recent live-fire drills in the Pacific Ocean, Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Lin Jian said on Thursday that China has previously introduced situation and elaborated its positions on relevant issues multiple times. "We are willing to strengthen communication with the New Zealand, enhance mutual understanding, and promote the healthy and stable development of bilateral relations," Lin said.
New Zealand's foreign minister said he had raised concerns over China's recent live-fire drills in the Tasman Sea during meetings with Chinese leaders on Wednesday, Reuters reported.
When asked by a foreign media outlet about such concern and whether there will be more drills from the Chinese side, Lin said at the press briefing on Thursday that "regarding the visit of Peters to China, we have already released relevant information, which you may refer to."
Lin added that China has previously introduced the situation and elaborated its position on the relevant issues multiple times. "We are willing to strengthen dialogue and communication with the New Zealand side, enhance mutual understanding, and promote the healthy and stable development of bilateral relations," the spokesperson said.
Chinese Vice President Han Zheng and Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi, as well as Liu Jianchao, head of the International Department of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee, met Peters in Beijing respectively on Tuesday and Wednesday.
Prior to Peters' visit, the country's Prime Minister Christopher Luxon recognized that China acted in accordance with international law over the live-fire drills in the Pacific Ocean, according to a Reuters report on Saturday.
