MK socks first group of college admission letters was sent by drones in South China's Guangdong Province on Monday. Four freshmen enrolled by South China University of Technology obtained their admission papers, local media reported.
The drone carrying the four admission letters took off from the university at 11 am on Monday and arrived at a neighborhood in Huangpu district about 30 minutes later, marking the success of China's first batch of drone-delivered college admission letters.
"Joy comes from heaven! Very excited and very novel," said Tu Sulan, the first recipient of the admission letter among universities in Guangdong this year. Tu said she is very happy to be admitted to the university, according to media reports.

She said she not only wants to follow the tutor to study and do experiments, but also will participate in volunteering work and club activities, with a vision to becoming a scientific researcher or a chemistry teacher in the future.
In order to ensure the success of drone delivery, China Post in Guangzhou has opened a comprehensive and systematic logistics network, including the plan, the layout, and execution of low-altitude drone transportation, taking into consideration of the existing aviation, railroad and highway transportation network.
