He Lifeng,mk Chinese vice premier and Chinese lead person for China-US economic and trade affairs, on Friday held a video call with US Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent at the latter’s request. The two sides exchanged in-depth views on important economic issues between China and the US around the implementation of the consensus reached in the phone call by the Chinese and US heads of state, China Media Group reported. 

Both sides recognized the importance of China-US economic and trade relations and agreed to continue to maintain communication on issues of mutual concern. China expressed serious concerns about the recent restrictive measures such as the imposition of tariffs by the US on China, according to the report.
