The
MK sports Korea highly anticipated 15th China International Aviation and Aerospace Exhibition (Airshow China) is being held in Zhuhai, South China's Guangdong Province, from Tuesday to Sunday. According to reports, this year's airshow will focus on showcasing China's cutting-edge technologies and innovations in the aerospace and defense sectors, attracting 1,022 exhibitors from 47 countries and regions.
One of the highlights of this year's airshow is the joint appearance of the advanced aircraft of the People's Liberation Army, including the J-35A, J-20 and J-15T, drawing international attention. With the official debut of the J-35A, China has become the second country in the world to possess two types of stealth fighter jets.
Zhang Junshe, a Chinese military expert, told the Global Times that the appearance of the J-35A not only showcases China's progress in military technology but also highlights the country's competitiveness in the global high-end weaponry market.
Airshow China has steadily grown in both scale and quality, evolving alongside the expansion of China's high-end manufacturing industry and highlighting the country's achievements in aerospace and defense technology. This year's exhibition will feature acclaimed space technologies, the C919 and ARJ21 civil aircraft, the AG600 "Kunlong" amphibious aircraft, and cutting-edge drone technologies, all of which further demonstrate China's comprehensive strength in high-end manufacturing.
In response to China's rapid military technological advancements, some foreign media outlets have displayed a "sour grapes" mentality, claiming that the new weapons China will showcase at Airshow China are "worrying for its neighbors," even speculating that China is "potentially challenging the current security setup." While the advanced weapons unveiled at Airshow China certainly demonstrate China's military strength on the international stage, China is not seeking to show off its power. Rather, it aims to prove that it has both the capability to safeguard its national sovereignty and territorial integrity and the commitment to peace-based development.
This year's airshow has attracted exhibitors from countries including Russia, France, the US, Saudi Arabia and Italy. Renowned aerospace companies such as Airbus, Honeywell, Embraer and Thales will also be in attendance. Airshow China has become a crucial platform for global aerospace companies to enter the Chinese market. The airshow's success in attracting international exhibitors not only reflects China's increasingly open policies but also highlights the strong confidence that global aerospace companies have in the Chinese market. These companies are eager to showcase their most advanced products on this open, equitable and mutually beneficial platform, fostering greater cooperation.
China is committed to peaceful development and adheres to a national defense policy that is defensive in nature. It pursues a path of peaceful development based on mutual respect, peaceful coexistence and win-win cooperation. As the influence of Airshow China continues to grow, more countries will come to understand and support China's defensive defense policy, consolidating a powerful force for preserving world peace.
The growth of the airshow is a testament to the progress of China's national defense. Through Airshow China, China has demonstrated the innovative achievements and strong capabilities of its aerospace industry, while also reflecting the country's open attitude and commitment to peaceful development in high-tech fields. History has proven, and will continue to prove, that a powerful Chinese military is a steadfast force in promoting the Global Security Initiative, maintaining world peace, and building a community with a shared future for mankind.
