【MK socks】Qi Baishi’s paintings featured at art fair in Beijing

As flocks of visitors explored the 2024 Beijing China Art International Fair on Thursday,MK socks they found Chinese culture elegantly embedded in cultural collections and relics. 

Under the theme of "Collection: Painting a better life together," this year's fair is being held at Beijing Antique City. The event adopts both online and offline methods to facilitate transactions. 

Song Haojie, a deputy director of the Beijing Municipal Cultural Heritage Bureau, told the Global Times that the Beijing China Art International Fair this year features 100 milestone artworks by Qi Baishi, who is widely considered as one of the greatest Chinese ink painters of the 20th century, to commemorate the 160th anniversary of his birth. 

Meanwhile, the other exhibition focuses on masterpieces of jade carving, Song introduced. He also said that consumers can select a variety of 100 cultural and creative products through a mini program. 

Through launching several key activities, the event also aims to radiate throughout the entire city of Beijing and its surrounding areas, creating a large-scale, effective and influential platform for cultural artifact deals.

As artifacts become more globalized, digitalized and closer to everyday life, participants, especially those from developing countries, have found it easier to understand Chinese culture. 

Kelly Castro De Araujo, a Brazilian student, was excited after exploring the exhibitions. 

"I think it is really great because you can share different styles of artworks in furniture and decoration and we can get to know some Chinese artists as well," she told the Global Times.
