China will continue to exempt certain US goods from additional tariffs until the end of February next year,
MKsport the Customs Tariff Commission of the State Council said Friday.
According to a statement issued in April, these items from the US were excluded from the tariff countermeasures against the US Section 301 measures until November 30, 2024.
After the extension, the exemption will last until February 28, 2025, the commission said in a statement.
Some items excluded from the additional tariffs include rare earth metal ores, medical disinfectants, nickel-cadmium batteries, according to the list attached with the statement.
China has repeatedly lodged solemn representations with the US side concerning the Section 301 tariffs. The World Trade Organization (WTO) has already ruled that the Section 301 tariffs violate WTO rules, the Xinhua News Agency reported.
